Do you ever wonder if your tax return is correct?  Or perhaps you don’t know if you got the maximum refund.  Did you know the past three tax years can be reviewed and amended?  There are a lot of reasons why you might not have claimed all the credits or deductions you deserve on a past-year tax return but this is what we do at 10 Tax Services.  Give us a chance to find money that others miss.

The good news is that it's not too late to check those old returns again. The even better news is that there’s a fee only if we find a missed credit or a major deduction.  That’s right!  There’s no fee for a second tax glance.  So what do you have to lose?

Common tax misses:

OVERLOOKED EARNED INCOME TAX CREDIT

The average EITC amount received per tax filer was $2,476 during the 2019 tax year. That can mean thousands of extra dollars for working families.  Workers must file tax returns to receive the credit. An estimated 20% (1 one in 5 people) of eligible workers do not claim EITC.  Don’t be one of those people. Let us take a second tax glance.

INACCURATE FILING STATUS

Selecting your optimal filing status has a strong impact on the value of some credits and deductions. For some families, changing your filing status can make you eligible for a larger refund.

MISSED EDUCATION CREDITS

If you or your dependent is a student, you may want to determine whether you are eligible for one of the two educational tax credits that cover common student expenses. These credits provide greater tax savings than a tuition deduction since they reduce your tax bill on a dollar-for-dollar basis. If you are eligible to claim both credits, you should choose the one that provides the greatest tax savings for you. This can get complicated so a second tax glance could help.
